Roussillon Farmhouse .

I must confess we did not explore too much (the pool kept us busy!) but had a wonderful meal at the seafront in Collioure were they managed to seat 10 of us with no booking - the restaurants in Ceret were less flexible. The house was great and the area we know and love - my beach recommendation is Le Racou as it is a little less hectic than the main Argeles beaches.

Mr P, Paris – August 2012

We all had a lovely time at Roussillon Farmhouse and Cottages. Want to go back. It was ideal for a large family like ours, plenty of space and freedom to wonder around the three properties and use the two pools. It was a good base to visit the sites around the area. We tried both restaurants in the village and they were both very good. The local shopkeeper was also very helpful. He had hot croissants ready for us in the mornings! We spent a day with the kids in Aqualand in St. Cyprien. We actually all got on the rides - a lot of fun! Visited the local beaches, and ports - plenty to see. It was such a relaxing holiday no one to bother us in the houses only ourselves. The facilities were spot on everything you would need. Only thing wrong was the time was too short!! Thanks for being so helpful. We all want to go back again so hopefully you will be hearing from us again and we would recommend your property to everyone.

Mrs R, Dublin – June 2012

We all thoroughly enjoyed our time at your property in France. It was ideal for our large family and easily met our high expectations. The location and weather were fantastic. The local Aqualand waterpark was a great day out for the kids and very good value for money. Our favourite village was definitely Collioure where we have a superb meal at a small fish restaurant. We would recommend the farmhouse to our friends.

Mr M, Lanarkshire – June 2012

We sure had a wonderful time in the Farmhouse. The weather was nice, sunny and temperature was good. We had breakfast in the morning on the terrace, looking to the sea in the distance, great view! The farmhouse was great to stay, everything we needed was there. Thanks for that!  I like to come back again, with my whole family, next year.

Mrs K, Holland – May 2012

We enjoyed our stay very much - loved the area - very beautiful and we like its proximity to the sea and the mountains. We loved the farmhouse and its location - fantastic views and especially liked the privacy it offered. Many thanks for your hospitality and we loved the village restaurant PierreAnne.

Mrs R, Durham – May 2012

Everyone loved the farmhouse and the pool was enjoyed by all. We had an excellent Sunday family lunch in Laroque des Alberes at La Cueva. Lovely food, good wine, friendly efficient service and good value. A week is not long enough so we will certainly return to the area for longer next time and will be in touch.

Mr D, Berks – June 2012

We had a great holiday, and our two weeks at your beautiful house were really super for us and the family.  There is so much we appreciated that it is difficult to know what to single-out.  The bedrooms upstairs are all charming and having three bathrooms up there was enormously helpful. We loved the kitchen area, and the fact that it was only a short distance to carry stuff out to the table on the terrace.  I shall certainly recommend the house to others, and hope that one day, if we can assemble the numbers again, we will return.

Mr S, London – August 2011

Roussillon Farmhouse was spacious, well equipped and suited us well. The location was stunning; mountain backdrop and views to the sea; it makes our back garden look very mundane. The pool was in constant use & the table tennis proved very popular. We enjoyed dinner with friends at La Cueva in Laroque - very successful, (recommended by your housekeeper).  Overall, a successful holiday & we would certainly recommend Roussillon Farmhouse to family & friends.

Mrs S, Surrey – August 2010

We had a most enjoyable holiday at the Farmhouse. The location and facilities are very good and the surrounding area provides lots of opportunity to visit places of interest for all the family.

Mr U, West Midlands – August 2010

The holiday itself was very successful especially being able to have all our family with us in the same location. We loved the garden and the swimming pools and the table tennis table gave us a lot of fun.  We liked the area and the weather was great and the constant breeze was very welcome against the heat!

Mr W, Surrey – July 2010

We loved the house and of course the pool. It’s a great location on the edge of the village and within striking distance of a lot of things to do, and we particularly liked the way you had made it feel so private. We'd like to come back when the kids are a bit older so we can take advantage of some of the walking opportunities in the area, but whilst we were there we filled our time nicely anyway. Albeit it was sometimes difficult to decide to leave the house and pool we did get out and about a bit. We particularly enjoyed Collioure - lots of things to see, history, art and plenty of eating options. We also had fun on the beach at Le Racou a couple of days, which is quieter than the bustle at Argeles. All in all a great region to visit - even the supermarkets in Roussillon seemed much higher quality than we had previously experienced in Perigord and Pitou-Charantes areas!

The weather was superb mostly around 30-33, just one overcast afternoon and even then it was still plenty warm enough to swim.

A very successful trip thanks! (in fact we've only been back 24 hours and my in-laws are already considering booking your place for next year!)

Mr M, Oxfordshire – July 2010

The Farmhouse was lovely with a fine location and, with the pool, we did not spend a lot of time travelling around so it was a relaxing holiday. The village is typically French and the residents friendly. I even managed some drawing and painting which is a first for me on holiday! The weather was very warm and became quite hot from midweek when the strong wind subsided although we did find out that the winds are a characteristic of the area. We visited Carcassonne and Collioure, (twice), and would recommend these to any of your guests. The younger members of our party made it to Barcelona and also visited Argeles.

Your welcome pack was very comprehensive and being able to print it out before we left home enabled all to familiarise themselves with the content before arrival. All in all, a very enjoyable holiday and our thanks for your advice and guidance before we travelled.

Mr R, Northampton – June 2010

RoussillonFarmhouse was great. We loved it as did the kids. It is clear that you must have invested a lot of time and money into the house. We found it to be the best property we have stayed in so far. In all we've done 8 trips to the south of France. We are interested for next year – when do you publish your prices?

Mr R, South Yorks – June 2010

We had a very enjoyable stay in great weather at your beautiful Farmhouse. We were delighted with the RoussillonFarmhouse and all it offered. We were impressed that it was so well equipped for a large number- down to the plastic plates and glasses for poolside.  As you know there were eight of us and a baby and we had everything we needed.  The house, grounds and pool are delightful and the scenery is wonderful.

Because the weather was so good we did very little touring except to go to Argeles, Collioure(very beautiful) and the next village Laroque des Alberes.  In Laroque we had a superb dinner in a restaurant called La Cueva which we would highly recommend.  Fergus in the pub was also very helpful and has a new big screen which will show World Cup matches for those who are looking to follow their teams progress in South Africa.    We will certainly recommend your house to any friends looking for a rental property in the area and I hope you have a busy season with full occupancy.
